I knew that I needed to find a cache today but I also had a lunch appointment with the chaps in Billericaybboked in.

A couple of days ago, I had a DNF at the trad Port Of Call : Rhodes at the Commercial Harbour and the CO contacted me with photographic assistance.
I was up early again and walked a couple of miles north to get to the Acropolis set in the Monte Smith Park. The park is named after an English Admiral and needs some research from me about this.
One of the reasons for our visit to Rhodes, apart from getting the Turkey souvenir 🤫, was that wife wanted me to see Sym, a nearby island.
Today, I was up at dawn and walked the 20 minutes from the apartment to the city walls. Rhodes has a spectacular fortress, encompassing the Old Town, that was built by the Knights Templars and I was looking forward to exploring it.
Now that the pressure of the wedding had passed, we could look forward to a week’s holiday in Rhodes. I had never been to this Greek island before but my wife had and wanted me to see a nearby island, Symi, which was supposed to be beautiful.
With our daughter‘s wedding being on the 20th, I knew that opportunities to grab a cache in the couple of weeks leading up to it would be slim.
I have recently become aware of the East Anglian Transport Museum in near Lowestoft and as a birthday treat, my wife has arranged a night away in the Wherry Inn on Oulton Broad just down the road from the museum.
I had hoped to have Fort Micro #23 Grain Battery Tower, a 4/5 trad on a Victorian gun platform out in the River Thames in Kent as my milestone cache but I was unable to get a team together in time.
All I need to do is to find a cache, any old cache today and I gain the Streak Souvenir.😀
