As you know, I’m playing the numbers game this month but I’d spotted another challenge where the qualification is to amass 1000 caches from just two COs. I looked at my stats and saw that I was close to that using ryo62 and jazzyjessups as my sources.

You will remember me saying that my numbers had taken a beating in September and I was trying to put that right. So today I was on familiar territory when I returned to Eynsford to have a go at the Eynsford Amble.

I suppose that the Church Micro series is probably my favourite series although I’m very keen on many others. Today is its anniversary and by finding a CM cache, a souvenir is awarded but by attending an CM Anniversary event, you can gain another.

I’m heading down into Kent this morning as the A13 isn’t closed for those dreaded road works. I’m planning to do some more of jazzyjessups’s Retirement Ramble series but I have a few former DNFs to find on the way.

I had spotted a circular walk around Great Eversden and Little Eversden in Cambridgeshire consisting of 29 trad caches each with a D/T of at least 2/2.

We’d gone away for the weekend to Felbridge in Surrey as a birthday treat for my wife. I hadn’t chosen the hotel but it couldn’t have been better.

A long, long time ago, I played a decent game of football. Like most chaps back then, you played your serious football on a Saturday and then played in a pub team or similar on the Sunday with your mates.
