That 4.5/3 Woolly Hat mystery cache over in Burnham has been playing on my mind. I’d worked out where I‘d gone wrong on the sums so I really wanted to put this to bed.😀

I needed a Last Day souvenir today so I slipped out for an early walk and headed for East Tilbury. Now this place is full of industrial and military architecture and I was interested in how the History Of East Tilbury AdLab series would bring this out.

I needed to get out for a walk so decided to pop the couple of miles over to Laindon For the Laindon Loop AdLab series. It wouldn’t take long and it looks that most of it could be done as a cache and dash, with a bit of walking at the end.

If you have ever driven out across the Dengie Peninsula, you will know that the Burnham Bends is not some strain of decompression sickness but the annoyingly meandering road into Burnham-on-Crouch.

I haven’t been very far west for quite a long while and as I’ve been itching to do the History of Romford AdLab series, it was time to travel down the A127. I parked up in Raphael’s Park just as dawn broke and the first part of the AdLab was just across the road.

I reckoned that if I headed up towards Clacton-on-Sea, there were enough 1/1 caches up that way for me to reach the magic 500 that I needed for that challenge cache.

This was another early call as I wanted to be in Maldon before it got light to tackle the new Maldon’s Heritage AdLab series set by kareninwb. I was hoping to gain a bit of time using street lighting if possible but I had my trusty torch in my pocket.

I’m only doing shortened days in my tier area now so I decided to visit Braintree to do the new Courtaulds Legacy AdLab series. The Courtauld family set up a very successful silk weaving company in the town and were enormous benefactors. I knew a bit about the family but was very keen to find out more.

Again I’m on the track of Virtuals and 1/1s and there’s one Virtual over near Chingford that I have been eying up. There are a few 1/1s around that area so that was another reason for coming over.
