It seems that the Geocaching maestro, jazzyjessups has upsticks and moved house, archiving many of his splendid series’ around Swanley. This has left a void but some cachers have started to fill that. There was a circular series on the slopes above Farningham and this has now been replaced by another series called Kent Views Revisited. I am going to give this one a go this morning.

I had it in mind to finish off the D’oh! series in West Cambridgeshire. This power trail of mystery caches is based on The Simpsons cartoon series and I only had a few left to do. Luckily they were all between Barrington and Orwell plus I knew of a decent place to park so I could do them in one hit.

I’m still trying to fill in my Large D/T grid and a search on the official site brought up the very useful 4/2 trad Memories are made of this..! trad published in 2006 down in Hemsted Forest in Kent. I fired it up and found to my delight that there was the Maelstrom circular series of 23 Mystery caches in the same Forest.😀😀

I had once walked 101 caches in a day and never thought that I would be able to beat that. However with the publication of the Essex and Herts Border series, I thought that I could have a chance to beat that especially if I had an electric bike. The series has over 300 trads and all of them are 1.5/1.5, all placed to be found.

I’m still keen to finish off this Anniversary challenge that I have been going on about so I have found two candidates down in Kent which should complete the challenge.

This morning I have been drawn to the Epping area. I have spent a lot of time here because I was stationed at the radio station in North Weald for about fifteen years. An AdLab series has recently been published - Historic North Weald and I’m keen to follow it through

I had an hour to kill so I decided to have a try at the Historic Billericay Adventure Lab series. I was born somewhere in Billericay so I have a soft spot for the place.

When I go out early on a weekend, I invariably go down to Swanley in Kent, a place rich in caches mainly put out by the former local Geocaching maestro, jazzyjessups.

You know me and my challenges.🥴 I need to find five more caches on the anniversary of their publication to qualify for a 4.5/3 cache that I signed a few weeks ago.

I had been over to East and West Tilbury a couple of weeks ago to have a try at Archer Phoenix’s Scout Stroll series and to try out my new electric bike.
