The End of the Line

You will recall from the Missed The Last Stop blog that I had failed to collect tickets from all the stations on the Cambridge to Mildenhall railway line. Today I was going to put that right. In fact, I was visiting the RST Swaffham Prior trad first, as dawn broke. I was delighted to put the badge ( (evidently it’s not a souvenir) on my stat bar.

London Calling

Today is the day that I travel to London for the first time in nearly two years. It‘s the London Mega 2021 which is being held in Westminster and for the event, a series of four AdLabs each containing ten bases has been issued. However, due to some rule, they can only last for three weeks before they are archived.

CITO

The CITO has proved to be a very elusive cache for me. They are very few and far between and usually some distance away from me. I only have three of the blighters and they have all been in Essex.

I need to bump up my numbers in the London Geocaching region so I have planned a little trip just across the Essex/London border into Romford.

It was very fortuitous as it was also SideTracked day and I didn’t think that I would be able to get the souvenir.😀

Mega 2

I had a solid eight hours sleep and was up at six o’clock. This was going to be another busy day with a few ”must do’s.” I must find at least eight different icons in Lincs for a challenge. I must find a 4.5/5 challenge cache near Sleaford to complete my 81 grid for the second time. I must get to the Mega.

Mega 1

So it’s the day before the Mega takes place in Lincoln and I am travelling north to get a day’s caching in before reaching my hotel. As usual, I have a list of caches to find, all important in their way, meeting challenges and other important criteria, in my eyes anyway.😀

EHB 2

Now this was time for the biggie, the caching day to beat all others. I had planned to use the electric bike for this marathon but my right hand is still not right. I didn’t want it to break down half way round so I was going to use the car.☹️
