Manx Week

Last year, we booked a coach trip to the Dolomites which meant staying one night in France on the way out, one night in Germany one the way back and five nights in Italy. However as the Covid regulations chopped and changed, we became increasingly worried that the holiday would be compromised should one country suddenly changed its Covid rules for the worse.

Where It All Began 11th - 13th September

My birthday is the 11th September which for the past twenty years has been connected to one of the worst terrorist atrocities ever. To add to this, the young daughter of one of my former work colleagues died in one of the Twin Towers - Karly Barbara Rogers RIP. So my birthday is now low key.

Ashford

After spending some time caching in Cambridgeshire trying to visit all the stations on the defunct Cambridge to Mildenhall line, it’s time for a geographical change and I’m heading into Kent today. I want to find more Wherigo caches. Ashford seems to have so many concentrated there all put out by local cacher mankybadger. The plan was to start in Challock and work my way into Ashford. Here’s how the day progressed.
