This is the day that I got myself organised as I had arranged an event when I hit town. I had to be at Sir Winstone's statue in Parliament Square for eleven o'clock so I need to pack a few caches in before then.

Have you seen that series that has appeared down in Shoreham in Kent? Set by the profilic CC setter Rubyshoos, it's about Geocaching Pioneers. Not Signal the Frog but finding caches in the years 2001 to 2010. I qualify for some so am starting to work on those that I do not.
The 7th November is always Church Micro Day and there are two unofficial souvenirs up for grabs - one for finding a cache and one for attending an event. I had originally planned to spend a day in London grabbing CMs but when I spotted that SkiCycle had arranged a CM event in Chislehurst, my plans went out the window.😀 So here's where I actually went.
Another early start in London for a full day's caching was on the cards. Just after seven thirty, I was walking into St Botolph's to catch a 205 bus. Amazingly one appeared by magic and it was a easy ride up to Kings Cross.
The clocks have gone back overnight so I have another hour of daylight this morning. I had planned to spend a couple of hours in Dartford clearing up some caches that I had been ignoring so far as they are in Kent.
I was going to cache in London Town until it got dark today so I decided to wait for the cheap day return rail fares to kick and get into town about 1030. I had a busy day planned and here is how it went.
It's Saturday and it's my old mate Johnny Stowe's 80th birthday. He has a bit of a do later and I might have a couple of beers.🙄
With the mornings staying darker for longer, I can drive further into London to get to caching areas that I wouldn't normally contemplate.
Believe it or not I have been retired for 22 years having taken early voluntary redundancy from BT. I was only 51 then and the terms were so good that it would have been silly to have stayed.
This morning I just couldn't be bothered to get up early after yesterday's long day so I decided to bowl over to Rayleigh to try the Rambling Round Rayleigh AdLab series.
