A Long Weekend at Thoresby Hall

We had a four night long weekend at Thoresby Hall near Ollerton in Nottinghamshire. I knew that opportunities for geocaching would be very limited so I would have to take my chances. With a bit of planning, subterfuge and cunning, I managed to bag four multis in the local villages of Budby, Wellow, Ollerton and New Ollerton.

A Scene from an Action Film

Today, I shall be mainly caching around Letchworth. Letchworth🤔, why choose Letchworth? Two reasons - I need to find a Wherigo in January for a challenge and there’s one that I have just about solved in Letchworth.😀 The other reason is that it’s in Hertfordshire and I need to bump up my county numbers.

Ticking Boxes Two

Following on from the need to tick a few dates in the calendar for mystery and multi finds, I’m out early today to find a couple more. I have identified a pair in the middle of Chelmsford by the River Chelmer. One is the VS Chelmsford mystery that I have had solved for a couple of years. The other is the FYI - Chelmsford Gasholders multi that I have actually DNFed.

A Day Trip to Bali

Remembering

I’m heading back to Danson Park this morning hoping to clear a few more from the wants list. However, I had a mission to complete before I got to the park. I had solved the Black Prince mystery a couple of years ago and as it was sorta on the way, I decided to go for it, especially as a mystery today would help with a challenge.

Bean’s Do

Geocaching HQ always knock out an official souvenir for caches found on NYE or NYD although they have now extended it to the week before and the week after New Year to qualify.

Cracking Caches, Gromit

The plan today is to increase my numbers of caches found in Hertfordshire so I‘m heading for the north of the county for a circular walk starting in Barkway.

Danson in the Park

I needed to build on my cache numbers for London so I‘ve come over to Danson Park again as there are still a lot of caches for me to find here.
