That’s a C not a G and FCM means Foots Cray Meadows, ok!
So to get this wonderful souvenir in celebration of International Geocaching Day, I needed to just find one cache.🤔
Today I‘m going to work my round from West Wickham to Shirley and then on to Croydon. That’s the plan anyway so let’s see how it went.
Why do I always think of ”Gabby” Hayes, an old American actor, who appeared many times with Roy Rogers, Gene Autrey and John Wayne, when I hear the word Hayes? I have no idea but when I decided to visit Hayes in Kent but actually in Greater London, I did.😀
It’s SideTracked Day, well actually it’s ST Week but I‘m a bit pedantic so I have to find a ST today or attend a ST event. STs that I haven’t found around here are non-existent so where better to go than Croydon with its Tram network and all the train stations around there.
We had dropped some more stuff off over at our daughter’s flat in Brentwood. After this we had a walk down the High Street and rather than stand outside shops, I took the opportunity to pick off some of the bases of the Historic Brentwood AdLab series.
I was in bed by ten and up at six. I was soon up and out on the next phase of my Mega journey.
So the Mega rolls around again and today I am off to Uttoxeter for the West Midlands Mega. I booked accommodation on the day after the last year‘s Mega in Lincoln much to my wife’s annoyance.🥴
You will remember the saga last week with the Bearing Bonanza 2. 🥴 Well I contacted the CO during the week showing him my workings and he came back with the exact coords.😀 So this morning I am again up in North Essex to try for the elusive 4/3.5 D/T.
I had been promising myself a trip to Croydon to use the tram network for the first time. I had got close over the past couple of weeks but couldn’t make it past Beckenham. So I thought that today must be the day but I had some unfinished business to deal with first.
