JJA2

I knew where I was going to park after last week's reconnaissance. I quickly sorted out the coords of the 02 - JJA multi and headed for the foot path. It was icy underfoot and -1C but I had four layers of clothing and I was warm enough. I collected the multi and grabbed the Mighty Oak trad on the way to 03. This was easy but the Little Bridge 04 trad was missing.

I was finding trads up to the 07 Letterbox. The JJA2 crossed paths with the Eden-Green Circular series in places and #11 was one of those. This was close to Mill Stream which had been in flood recently and river debris was piled high in the search area. I had a quick rummage but no joy here. I carried on picking up a couple more trads until I crossed the high railway bank to get to the 10 - JJA multi.

The final stage for this was on a bridge crossing Greybury Gill. I had a quick find here but had trouble with the 11 Little Bridges -  Edenbridge multi sited on the bridge. The info source was missing but luckily one of the co COs, agrajag2007 had been monitoring my progress so I was able to TAF.😀 I quickly had the info to move on to the final stage of this one. Thank you, David.👏👏

I continued on the JJA2 series gathering trads until I reached 15, a Letterbox. With this one tucked away, I carried on up the lane for the #9 Eden-Green Circular trad. At the busy t-junction, I soon spotted #8 and taking care, crossed over to the head of the footpath. It was a bit of a slog dodging the muddy puddles and sometime holding on to branches to stop myself falling in. I successfully worked my way from 16 JJA2 up to 20, failing only at #6 of the Circular.

I continued with #5 and then carried on with the JJA2s up to 24. There was a challenge cache up next based on the 147 Snooker break. I had done something similar before but after I found it, I realised that I needed to find 147 caches in a single country.🥴 I can manage 80 odd in Greece but this one will have to wait for a while.🙁

I carried on with the series until I reached Prettymans Lane and followed this east up to the level crossing. #2 of the Circular was here but instead of crossing, I carried on to the It's Charridee, Mate mystery. I was surrounded by sheep when I was signing the log but they gave me a path out as I backtracked to the crossing. I crossed, looking both ways and gathered up to 42 - JJA2, followed by another trad, Dok and then the  Class 450 EMU Challenge cache mystery. I needed 450 letterbox caches for this but I was qualified.😀

I cut south down to 34, the last of the series, crossing the railway line one last time. I had enough for the series bonus and luckily this was near my parked car. After changing footwear (my wife is fed up with mud in the car), I drove down the length of Skinners Lane for the Give us a kiss trad. This quick find was the final cache of the day.
