Dizzy Days in Disney

Read story

We spent three days doing all the thrills and spills in Disneyland Paris and I took the opportunity to do some Geocaching whilst I was there. I managed this Earthcache, two Virtuals and a Trad cache whilst I was there.

The first one that I found was Le Roi Arthur, a 1/1 Virtual based on the Sword in the Stone exhibit.  There were so many children here waiting to try to extract the sword that it took ages to get close enough to get the necessary information.

The Earthcache was the 1/1 Butte - Hoodoo Voodoo - DP/EC56. This was located at the Thunder Mountain ride. It took me a while to sort this one out and I got more of a perspective when I viewed the hills from the Mississippi Riverboat that chugged around the river around the buttes.

The Disneyland Paris *virtual* was difficult. For a 2/1, you had to visit all the white knuckle rides and try to find a specific piece of info. We had spent the last three days on almost all the rides and I took the time whilst queuing and fast tracking to look for the information to claim this virtual. I had narrowed my search down to two white knuckle rides and I was very pleased to find the right information source.

The Cache’n go at Disneyland Parks was the nearest cache to my hotel but I had to walk right into the bus station to get the way into the car park. Getting to the cache was easy as the car park was very empty. Once I had found my way to the search area, I had a quick find of a well placed cache thanks to the hint.
