Chatham Cache

Read story

We went on a coach trip to the Forties Weekend in Chatham today. I've always wanted to visit this place as this was my dad's home port during WW2. There was so much to see and add to that all the period costume especially a chap wearing what would have been a RN radio operator's uniform.

There was so much period entertainment from Andrews Sisters tribute acts, the London Swing Band and a George Formby double who could really play the ukelele. He had really good triplet strokes!

I just had time to pick up one cache For Whom The Bell Tolls which was just outside the dock yard gates. A cunningly placed custom cache which was difficult to find.

I will certainly be here again next year!!
