I decided to spend a day geocaching my way up through Witham and south off the A12 today. After the problems with the car in the past few days, I didn’t want to go too far.
First off was the James Cooke cache near a garden centre south of Witham. After a quick find, I gathered all the info for the RST Wickham Bishops multi. After working out the coords, I decided to leave the actual finding until later. It was too hot and I didn’t fancy the long walk as I had a few Wander Around multis to do today.😀 It was good to visit the old wooden railway bridge again.
I first did the Too Cool For Skool multi. I thought my coords were wrong but I eventually found the well hidden cache. Around the corner, I finally caught up with the Stumped mystery based on the locally born cricketer, Alastair Cook.
A short drive later, I was having a wander around Little Braxted looking for info for the multi. I found all but one bits of info but I knew that date anyway. It must be too many years drinking the products of a certain Bury St. Edmunds brewery.
Back in Wickham Bishops, I started my hunt for the info for the Wander Around. It soon became apparent that I wouldn’t be able to find all the information as the Village Sign was missing, probably removed for repainting or other maintenance. Anyway, I persevered and gathered all the other information apart from that near the libary. I drove down there and had all the info apart from the VS stuff.
However, I had been having a few little worrying problems with the car. I could tell that it still wasn’t right as it now it wouldn’t start.🤯 Once I’d got it going, I drove straight back to Basildon to the garage to get it sorted so no more caching for me today. I will be back.
