As you know, I‘m always working on a challenge cache or two, or six or a dozen.🤔
As usual, I am working on a challenge cache. This one is a 15 day streak but we have to find 8 different icons during the streak including a Wherigo, a CM, a Mystery and a Challenge Cache. So today’s plan is to travel out and find some of the icons but not claim them so I can get ”all my ducks in a row” before attempting the challenge.
After my head felt better this morning, I set off for a short walk to grab some air..... and a cache.🤔 There’s an official souvenir on offer today and I have been saving a local cache just for this purpose.
Being the last day of the year, Groundspeak have kindly produced another souvenir for us all.
I had hoped to try the JJ’s MISSION series out last week but the River Wid was in danger of flooding so I gave it a swerve.
Groundspeak had set up another Souvenir for us to gain in December, the 3-2-1 Go Souvenir. In essence, we had to find at least one cache on six different days to qualify.
I was going to pop out early this morning to do another UPSTOPPABLE series up in Widford near Chelmsford but a check on the local weather pointed out that the River Wid was about to burst its banks.
I had a spare hour away from the relentless build up to Christmas so I took myself over to South Hanningfield to try to pick up a couple of caches that I had DNFed recently from the JJ’S MISSION UNSTOPPABLE series.
It’s been our practice to go to a Christmas Market somewhere in Europe for a few years now. It gives us the opportunity for a winter break and the chance to find some different Christmas decorations.
I set off for Swanley this morning armed with a very short list as I’d only have about an hour or so before I had to head back for home. Unfortunately there was a lot of sadness at some of the caches that I found.
